The Augmenta System is currently operating in a multitude of countries around the world. In places as far-flung as Ukraine and Australia, farms are reaping real financial benefits while reducing environmental impacts at the same time. France is the latest country to join this agricultural revolution.
Latitude GPS (https://www.latitudegps.com) is a sizable organization based in Normandy. Its agriculture de précision operations extend to the North of France, the French islands (Guadeloupe, Martinique, Guyana, La Reunion), and part of French-speaking Africa. When they asked for a demonstration in June 2021, Augmenta was only too happy to oblige, sending its highly experienced Field Engineer, Aris Maranoglou from Greece and Regional Sales Manager, Fabrizio Fancelli.
The plug n' play Augmenta System had already been installed by Latitude GPS on one of their Fendt tractors, so Aris and Fabrizio got right down to it, explaining all the virtues of the device. Because it was too wet to actually apply fertilizer, a demonstration using a virtual implement was given.
The French debut was a resounding success, with many in attendance excited about the ground-breaking technology and its unprecedented capabilities. Special appreciation was also given to the Augmenta Web Portal where all the session's field data is automatically uploaded via the 3G/4G mobile network and presented as meaningful operational analytics, reports and projections.
This was followed by a visit to the Southwest of France to meet Mr. Pierre Prim, ex-owner of a John Deere CAT 32 Dealership and now a teacher of agriculture at « École supérieure l’agriculture de Purpan » (Toulouse). To demonstrate the Augmenta System on corn (at a growth stage of 8-10 leaves to 15 leaves), a Kverneland Exacta TL GEOSPREAD spreader was hitched to a John Deere 2630 (with section control) and connected via ISOBUS. Twelve sections driven with a working width of 24 meters.
In attendance were sales representatives of important John Deere dealers, Agrivision and Dupuy SAS. Results proved to be very good with +5% in fertilizer savings achieved to the enthusiastic approval of all.
Such strong local interest has prompted Augmenta to participate in the Innov-Agri Trade Show (https://www.innovagri.com) - an important agricultural fixture in Outarville, Loiret organised by France's Agricole group for the last 30 years. This year's event will be held between 7th and 9th of September 2021. Augmenta invites all French Farmers and interested parties to visit its stand (D 05-08) at the show.
Nous avons hâte de vous voir chez notre stand D 05-08!
