Augmenta is a machine learning startup that develops a state-of-the-art vision system for agricultural applications that helps farmers understand the health and quality of their crops but also automates tasks such as fertilizer application. The Augmenta solutions consists of an on-tractor device running machine learning on the edge and a cloud solution that provides insightful analytics to stakeholders.
Our solutions are currently deployed by large ag companies across the world. We are venture backed and growing fast. We are looking for a database engineer to help us design, develop and maintain our database that is the backbone of our solution on the field and on the cloud as well.
The candidate will work closely with the Web, Cloud and R&D teams to design and deploy databases that assist the development process of web services and novel algorithms or modules for real-time decision making and device sensing capabilities.
Tasks include the design of distributed databases that span across the entire Augmenta ecosystem (field analyzer, cloud, web, internal R&D), maintenance and monitoring of database services, creation of database migrations and development of tools to assist the R&D team in data analysis and experimentation.
